The Mobile Mammogram Clinic

What if, with a simple donation, you could directly impact the lives of thousands of Alberta women? The Mobile Mammogram Clinic lets you do just that, by bringing vital screening services to remote northern communities.

Cancer doesn’t care where you live.
But we do.

Living outside of a big city shouldn’t mean less access to important healthcare tools. That idea is a driving force behind the Mobile Mammogram Clinic: a self-contained, specialized unit that brings mammograms and vital information about breast cancer to remote and rural northern communities.

To date, it’s performed more than half a million scans and detected more than 3,000 cases of breast cancer.

However, the current unit is nearing the end of its life, and it must soon be replaced in order to keep this valuable service going. In partnership with the Alberta Cancer Foundation, we have committed to raising $1.5 million to purchase and furnish a new unit to deploy across the north.

Help us help thousands of Albertans whose lives may be saved through this program. We can’t do it alone – it will take our whole community!

Use Your "Will Power" to Leave a Legacy

What will your legacy be? There are many reasons to consider a legacy gift. It is a great way to ensure your memory lives on. It’s also a way of acknowledging an organization that has had an impact on your life or the lives of those important to you while helping the charity to continue their important work. There are also financial benefits associated with charitable contributions. For some, including a charity in your will can actually increase the amount of money your spouse or children inherit because it offsets taxes. Always seek the advice of an accredited estate planner, financial advisor or legal counsel when considering your legacy giving goals, and then contact us to determine how your gift can make a difference at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
