This event is raising funds for vital equipment while having fun – and is vital for babies born at your hospital. All funds raised will go towards the purchase of a Panda Infant Warmer. This life-saving equipment helps the tiniest of patients: babies. As a baby enters the world, it is particularly vulnerable. This vital piece of equipment allows your healthcare teams to keep a newborn baby healthy and safe.
SHOW us your best burger, vote, and win! From August 7 – 23, it is your chance to show us what you’ve got (no tasting required because it is a feast for the eyes)! Build your version of a bodacious burger! Is it a mega-licious beef burger? A vivacious veggie burger? Or a crazy crispy chunky chicken burger? Anything goes!
It’s as easy as 1,2,3!
1. Participants must Register between July 14th and August 7th)
2. Next, each participant must Raise Support. (a minimum of $50 must be raised to qualify for fabulous prizes) . All funds must be raised by August 23rd.
3. Participants must SHOW us their delicious entry, by sending a photo/video to us through any of our social media platforms between August 7th and August 23rd.
Grand Prize Categories
People’s Choice (prize value over $300)
This award will be a ‘majority rules.’ The host will accumulate the votes through a Facebook poll between August 24th and 25th. People will be asked, “Who made you want to eat their burger the most?” Whoever gets the most votes, wins!
Prize: You are officially mega-licious! You’ve won bragging rights and fabulous prizes to help you celebrate! New Horizon Co-op’s propane tank + 1 refill +1 carwash pkg + 1 Build Your Own Burger Basket + $50 gift card to Mr. Mike’s + $50 gift card to Madhatter’s
Biggest Burger (total value over $300)
A ruler must be in the photo demonstrating the height and width of the burger. Please use a ruler or tape measure. It must be resting on the same surface that the burger is placed on and immediately beside the burger. The burger with the most centimeters wins. The winner will be selected by the celebrity judging panel.
Prize: The great GP burger tour! $25 gift card to Harvey’s + $50 gift card to Mr. Mike’s + $50 gift card to Madhatter’s + $100 gift card to Ricky’s All Day Grill + $100 gift card to Earl’s Kitchen & Bar
Team Spirit (total value $400)
The team must consist of at least 2 people and must show a theme. Participants must be included in the photo with the burger. The winner will be selected by the celebrity judging panel.
Prize: A team night out! It is burger-ific!* $250 gift card to Better Than Fred’s + $150 liquor package from New Horizon Co-op

The Peace Region’s Backyard Burger Champion (total value over $1,400)
Bam! You’ve won the right to say “you are the champion” AND you get an amazing charcoal BBQ. Instant happiness! This category will be based on set voting criteria for the judges, the participant with the most points overall will win.
Prize: Napoleon PRO Charcoal 605 BBQ donated by Canadian Tire Grande Prairie.
All winners will be announced during the Facebook Live Award Show Aug. 26, 2020 at 6 pm MDT.
Anyone can join us on one of social media channels for tips, tricks and inspiration and a chance to win one of the DAILY GIVEAWAYS provided by The Keg, Pine’s Restaurant/Evergreen Park, Burger Heaven, Original Joe’s, State & Main, Mr. Mikes, Maddhatters, Burger King, A&W and Harveys! Registration for the event starts on July 17th. Online burger entries can be submitted starting Aug. 7, 2020 @ 9 am MDT and ending Aug. 23, 2020 @4pm MDT. The Hospital Foundation and local celebrities will be cheering you on all the way! Ending the event with a live award ceremony to take place on Aug. 26, 2020.
